Pakistan’s Spin Duo Equals 52-Year-Old Test Record

Multan: Pakistan’s spin bowlers Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan have made history by equaling a Test cricket record that has stood for 52 years.
In the second Test match in Multan, the duo took all 20 wickets of the England team, marking a rare achievement in the sport.
This event marks only the seventh time in Test cricket history that 20 wickets have been claimed by just two bowlers. England and Australia have accomplished this feat twice, while South Africa and Pakistan have done it once.
The last occurrence of this remarkable achievement was in 1972 when Australia’s Dennis Lillee and Bob Massey bowled out 20 England players.
Previously, during a Test match in Karachi in 1956, Pakistan defeated Australia by 9 wickets, with Fazal Mahmood and Khan Mohammad combining for 20 dismissals. In that match, Mahmood took 13 wickets, while Khan Mohammad secured 7.
