Parliamentarians Praise Facilities at IMCB I-8/3

Islamabad: A parliamentary delegation, accompanied by educationists, visited the Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB) I-8/3 to inspect the recently completed renovation and restoration work, carried out under a special initiative led by the Ministry of Education and Professional Training and the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE).

The delegation included Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) Nuzhat Sadiq, Nafeesa Shah, Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan, Senator Gurdeep Singh, Director General of Federal Government Educational Institutions (FGEI) Maj Gen Qaisar Suleman, Rector of National University of Technology (NUTech) Lt Gen (Retd) Moazzam Ejaz, Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director of the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), along with DG Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and Chairman FBISE, Junaid Akhlaq.

Prof. Shahid Mahmood Abbasi, Principal of IMCB and Director of Colleges (FDE), welcomed the delegation and guided them on a tour of the newly upgraded facilities.

Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani, who played a key role in the project’s development, also attended and took particular interest in the college’s improvements.

The renovation includes a state-of-the-art computer lab with 40 computers, a fully furnished library, a modern gym, a dispensary, smart classrooms, enhanced washroom facilities, and a newly refreshed exterior of the main building.

Additional facilities, such as foreign language courses, mind games, SMART classrooms, school meal programs, e-Rozgar schemes, tech fellows programs, and a football court, have also been added.

During their visit, the delegation engaged with students and teachers, receiving positive feedback on the new facilities. They expressed satisfaction with the enhanced educational environment and commended Secretary Wani for his commitment to elevating educational standards in Islamabad’s public-sector schools.

The parliamentarians were impressed by the significant progress and transformative work in Islamabad’s public education sector and encouraged the Ministry of Education to continue these exemplary efforts.
