PKR Gains 11 Paisa Against Dollar, Euro & Pound Witness Decline

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee appreciated by 11 paisa against the US dollar on Friday, closing at Rs 278.53 in the interbank market, compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.64.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar’s buying and selling rates in the open market were Rs 278.65 and Rs 279.75, respectively.

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported that the Euro decreased by 79 paisa to close at Rs 308.80 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 309.59.

The Japanese yen remained unchanged, closing at Rs 1.92. The British Pound saw a decrease of 73 paisa, trading at Rs 367.34 compared to the last day’s closing of Rs 368.07.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal each decreased by 03 paisa, closing at Rs 75.83 and Rs 74.22, respectively.
