Roof Collapse Kills Child, Injures Four Others

Hyderabad: One child died, and four others were injured when the roof of a house collapsed due to heavy rains in Nusrat Colony, near the old Sabzi Mandi area, on Wednesday.
Volunteers from Rescue 1122 quickly arrived at the scene and transported the injured to the hospital, where one child, Hasnain, succumbed to his injuries. The other injured persons have since been discharged after receiving necessary treatment.
Meanwhile, Mayor Hyderabad Kashif Ali Shoro, Focal Person for Rain Emergency Hyderabad and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Abdul Jabbar Khan, Deputy Commissioner Zain ul Aabdin Memon, and Municipal Commissioner Hyderabad Jam Zahoor Lakhan visited the incident site and met with the grieving family.
Meanwhile, a laborer was killed during construction work at a house in the area of Nishatabad Road police station. According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, 40-year-old laborer Shehzad Baig, a resident of Sir Syed Town, was working at a house in Chak No 7 when a cement slab broke and struck his head.
As a result, the laborer sustained critical injuries and died on the spot before receiving any medical assistance. The body has been shifted to the mortuary at Allied Hospital-I, and the police are investigating the incident.
