Pakistan Announces Squad For First Test Against Bangladesh

Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 11-member squad for the first Test against Bangladesh which is scheduled to start on Wednesday (August 21) at the Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi.

The squad includes Shan Masood as captain, Saud Shakeel as vice captain, Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Rizwan as wicketkeeper, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Pakistan will take the field with a combination of four fast bowlers. This series will be Shan Masood ’s first as captain in a home series, while Jason Gillespie will make his debut as the head coach of the Pakistan cricket team.

Pakistan has played 13 Tests against Bangladesh, winning 12 and drawing one.
