Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to further improve road infrastructure to enhance the facilities provided to citizens on a daily basis.

As part of this initiative, a new footpath is currently under construction in Sector I-8 of Islamabad, with an estimated cost of Rs14 million.

Tender notices have been published in newspapers, and upon scrutiny of received bids, the construction of the footpath will commence soon.

During this process, the CDA chairman has instructed the officers of relevant departments to expedite the repair of dilapidated footpaths, ensuring their functionality for the public.

Additionally, new footpaths will be constructed wherever necessary to extend facilities to citizens comprehensively.

The CDA sources said the construction of these footpaths will not only encourage walking culture in the city but also contribute significantly to reducing carbon footprint and promoting sustainability.
