WhatsApp to Introduce Chat Filter Feature

News Desk
Islamabad: WhatsApp, the world’s largest instant messaging application, is currently in the process of developing a new chat filter feature, set to be released soon.
This feature will enable users to segregate the chats of their favorite contacts into a separate section.
According to reports from a website tracking WhatsApp updates, the app’s developers are actively engaged in perfecting the chat filter functionality, with initial testing anticipated in the near future.
Once implemented, users will find additional options, such as favorites, groups, contacts, and unread messages, upon clicking the search icon within WhatsApp chats.
By selecting “Favorites,” users will be able to access chats with their preferred contacts, neatly organized apart from other conversations.
To utilize this feature, users will need to establish a favorites list initially. They’ll be prompted to add any contact to their favorites list while engaging in conversations.
Presently, upon initiating a search within WhatsApp chats, users can filter results for unread messages, documents, photos, videos, and polls. However, with the upcoming feature, users will also have the option to filter for their favorite chats.
