Cold Weather Forecasted to Stay in Pakistan

Islamabad: Mainly cold weather is forecasted in most parts of Pakistan, while it will be very cold in the upper districts during the next 12 hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
However, rain and snowfall over mountains in upper areas is expected at isolated places in Islamabad, the Potohar region, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and coastal areas of Balochistan during the evening and night.
Dense fog and smog are likely to persist in plain areas of Punjab, KP, and upper Sindh.
Very cold weather is likely in these areas due to dense fog.
Temperatures of major cities recorded in °C: Islamabad and Muzaffarabad are 4 degrees Celsius; Lahore 8, Karachi 16, Peshawar 5, Quetta 7, Gilgit, and Murree are 1 degree Celsius.
