APP

Islamabad: The Health Ministry and National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has launched the health card mobile application app ‘Meera Sehat Card’ on Wednesday to maximise healthcare accessibility for all Pakistani citizens.

Addressing the ceremony, Health Interim Federal Minister Dr Nadeem Jan said that the app gives a comprehensive list of family members and the digital records will empower families to manage their health needs effectively.

‘Sehat Sahulat Programme’ has been a pioneer in the adoption of digitalisation in healthcare since its inception, stated Dr Jan. And now ‘Meera Sehat Card’ is available on the Android Play Store and Apple App Store.

Interim Minister told that the app will also provide a record of an effective medical treatment history and ensures that medical carers have access to accurate information.

He added that citizens will now have access to a transparent list of available treatments through the app.

Currently, the ‘Meera Sehat Card’ is for permanent resident families (as per NADRA records) in Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and District Tharparkar (Sindh), Dr Nadeem added.

Health Minister further said that the government has formulated an integrated strategy to ensure the provision of modern facilities in the health sector. Reforms are being made to improve the health sector, he added.
