Bid to smuggle 28kg narcotics foiled, two suspects arrested

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Saturday seized more than 28 kg of drugs and arrested two suspected drug traffickers near Islamabad Motorway Interchange.
According to a spokesman at ANF Headquarters, acting on a tip-off, the ANF Rawalpindi team intercepted a Toyota Van near Islamabad Motorway Interchange and during its search seized more than 24kg of hashish, 1.2 kg of opium, 1 kg Ice and 1.9 kg heroin.
The raiding team also arrested two suspected drug traffickers, identified as Nadeem, a resident of Charsadda, and Sher Rehman. A case has been registered against the suspected persons and further investigation was in progress till the filing of this report.
