8-Year-Old Girl Died After Mobile Exploded

News Desk

Kerala: A very sad incident took place in Kerala’s Thrissur, where an 8-year-old girl named Adithyashree died when her mobile phone exploded while she was watching a video at home.

The police have yet to confirm which mobile phone company the girl was using.

The police have started an investigation into the incident to find out the real reasons while also handing over responsibility to the forensic team.

This is not the first time that a person has died due to exploding mobile phones; a few days ago, a boy was electrocuted while charging a mobile phone in Uttar Pradesh.

Experts believe that using mobile phones while charging should be avoided; in addition, mobile phone overcharging also increases the risk of mobile explosion.

Experts say that overcharging the mobile phone causes the battery to heat up, and in extreme cases, the battery may catch fire.

According to an ITP spokesperson, the initiative is part of the department’s efforts to improve ease of access to essential traffic services by deploying two mobile units—GAC-709 and GAC-656—to different areas daily.

The facilitation vans offer a range of services including learner’s permits, license verifications, and traffic awareness campaigns, all aimed at minimizing the need for visits to traffic offices and promoting a more efficient, citizen-focused service delivery model.
