7 Killed, 59 Injured in Khanpur Highway Crash

Khanpur: At least seven people were killed and 59 others injured when a tractor trolley carrying members of a wedding procession collided with a trailer on the National Highway near Sardargarh in Khanpur.
According to the district administration, the accident occurred when the tractor trolley was travelling from Sardargarh towards Zahir Pir and collided head-on with a trailer coming from the opposite direction.
Rescue officials said 37 injured people were shifted to THQ Hospital Mianwali Qureshi, while 22 others were taken to Sheikh Zayed Hospital for medical treatment.
Rescue authorities attributed the accident to the alleged negligence and carelessness of the trailer driver.
The incident caused panic in the area, while rescue teams and local authorities responded to the scene and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals.
