4.3-Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Khuzdar

Islamabad: A moderate earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck Khuzdar district in Balochistan early Friday morning, triggering brief panic among residents.
People rushed out of their homes after feeling the tremors, according to local reports. However, district administration officials confirmed that no casualties or major damage were reported from any area of Khuzdar.
PTV News quoted authorities as saying that the situation remained normal and there was no immediate need for emergency measures.
The Seismological Centre in Islamabad said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 12 kilometres, with its epicentre located approximately 18 kilometres north of Khuzdar.
