34 Terrorists Eliminated in KP, Balochistan Operations: ISPR

Rawalpindi/ Islamabad/Peshawar: Security forces killed 34 khwarij linked to Indian proxies “Fitna Al Khwarij” and “Fitna Al Hindustan” during a series of high-tempo, intelligence-based operations conducted in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan over the past few days, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR stated that on February 24, a total of 26 khwarij affiliated with Indian proxy “Fitna Al Khwarij” were eliminated in four separate engagements in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. In a separate operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob District, Balochistan, eight khwarij associated with Indian proxy “Fitna Al Hindustan” were killed.
According to the statement, security forces detected the movement of a group of khwarij attempting to infiltrate across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the general area of Hassan Khel, North Waziristan .
Troops engaged the group effectively, killing one khwarji identified as an Afghan national.
In another intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat District, troops engaged a khwarij hideout and, after an intense exchange of fire, neutralized three militants.
Simultaneously, security forces conducted two separate engagements in the general area of Narmi Khel, Bannu District, where 10 khwarij were killed. In another operation based on precise intelligence in the general area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan , 12 more khwarij were eliminated.
During a fifth engagement in the general area of Sambaza, Zhob , troops carried out an intelligence-based operation and, following a fierce gun battle, killed eight terrorists belonging to “Fitna Al Hindustan.”
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed militants, who, according to ISPR, had been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region.
The statement reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain steadfast and unwavering in their resolve to defend the country’s frontiers. Sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored kharji present in the area.
The ISPR added that the relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for successfully carrying out operations against terrorists along the country’s northern and southern borders, as well as in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

In separate statements issued by the Presidency and the Prime Minister’s Office, both leaders commended the professionalism and bravery of the forces in eliminating 34 terrorists during multiple operations.
President Zardari praised the forces for their successful actions against terrorists linked to “Fitna-e-Hindustan” and “Fitna Al Khwarij,” stating that the killing of 34 militants and the recovery of arms demonstrated the forces’ high operational preparedness.
He emphasized the need for continued efforts by security forces and law enforcement agencies to eradicate terrorism under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision and stressed that operations against externally backed terrorists must continue without pause to safeguard national security and protect citizens.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated the successful operations against “Fitna Al Khwarij” in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and “Fitna-e-Hindustan” in Balochistan.
He noted that 26 terrorists were eliminated in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and eight in Balochistan during various operations, attributing the success to the professional expertise of the armed forces.
Expressing confidence in the military’s ongoing achievements against terrorist groups, the prime minister reiterated the government’s determination to uproot terrorism completely under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” framework.
Separately, Governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi lauded the security forces for their successful actions against terrorists along the northern and southern borders.
In a statement issued in Peshawar, the governor praised the elimination of 34 terrorists and the recovery of a large cache of arms and ammunition, describing it as a testament to the professionalism, courage, and high morale of the security forces.
He said the sacrifices made by the country’s brave personnel in defense of the homeland were a source of pride for the entire nation and affirmed that the people stood shoulder to shoulder with their armed forces.
