“19-Minute MMS” Link Could Empty Bank Accounts, Experts Warn
News Desk
Islamabad: Authorities and cybersecurity experts have issued a warning to social-media users about a dangerous scam linked to a widely circulated “19-minute video” link.
The link, which has been shared across platforms including Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), allegedly provides access to an intimate video of a couple.
Experts, however, say it is a trap designed to steal personal information and money.
According to cybersecurity specialists, clicking the link could lead to malware installation, phishing websites, or demands for payment.

Victims risk having their personal data and banking credentials compromised, potentially allowing scammers to drain bank accounts.
The authenticity of the video remains unverified, with no credible source confirming the identities of those involved. Experts also warn that the video could be a deepfake or manipulated content, raising doubts about whether it exists at all.
Beyond financial risks, sharing or forwarding such content can have serious legal consequences. In India — where the warning originated — circulating obscene or intimate material online is punishable under cyber-law.
Authorities advise users to delete messages containing the link, avoid clicking on or sharing suspicious content, and report it to social-media platforms or cyber-crime authorities.
