13 Killed in Bus, Oil Tanker Collision on Motorway Near Karachi

Karachi: At least 13 people were killed and several others injured in a deadly collision involving a passenger bus, an oil tanker and multiple vehicles near Kathore on the M9 Motorway on Friday, police said.
According to officials, the passenger coach was travelling on the wrong side of the road when it collided with the oil tanker, triggering a chain-reaction crash involving other vehicles.
Rescue authorities confirmed that the deceased included women and children. The impact of the collision was so severe that several passengers reportedly fell from a bridge at the site of the accident.

Emergency teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment. The condition of some of the injured was stated to be critical.
Sindh Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho directed police officials to immediately reach the accident site and ensure the area was secured to facilitate rescue operations and an investigation into the cause of the crash.
Authorities have launched an inquiry to determine the exact circumstances leading to the accident, while traffic on the motorway was temporarily disrupted following the incident.
