126 New Dengue Cases Reported in Punjab

Lahore:The Punjab Health Department reported 126 new cases of dengue fever across the province on Saturday.

Rawalpindi recorded the highest number of new infections, with 104 cases, followed by Lahore with eight cases. Other districts including Faisalabad reported two cases, while Chakwal, Attock, and Sargodha each had three. Single cases were also reported in Mandi Bahauddin, Sahiwal, and Gujranwala.

In total, 737 cases were reported this week, bringing the cumulative dengue count for Punjab in 2024 to 6,759. The Health Department reassured the public that hospitals in the province are equipped with necessary medications and are ready to handle the increasing number of patients.

A helpline, 1033, has been set up for individuals seeking information or wishing to report dengue-related issues.
