119 Candidates in Islamabad Granted Election Symbols

Islamabad: The District Returning Office (DRO) in Islamabad has allocated election symbols to 119 candidates competing across the three constituencies of the federal capital.
As per the DRO’s released list, NA-46 will have 44 candidates contending for seats, with 29 independents among them. Sixteen candidates from different political parties will also be in the race for NA-46. Mustafain Kazmi, an independent candidate in NA-46, has been assigned the election symbol of a parachute, while Shoaib Shaheen’s symbol is shoes.
In NA-47, 37 candidates will participate, including 25 independents and 12 from various political parties. Noteworthy symbols include Chaudhry Ilyas Mehrban, an independent candidate, represented by a battery.
Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar will run with the clock as his symbol, and Nayab Ali, a transgender candidate, will be symbolized by the green pepper.
For NA-48, 38 candidates will compete, with 27 choosing independent candidacy and 11 representing diverse political parties. Raja Khurram Nawaz, an independent candidate, will run under the pomegranate symbol, and Ali Bukhari will participate with the parachute symbol.
