Zardari Recovering Quickly After Hospitalization: Sharjeel Memon
News Desk
Islamabad: Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon dismissed reports on Wednesday claiming that ailing President Asif Ali Zardari would be transferred to Dubai for treatment, calling them false. In a tweet, Memon assured that the president was recovering well and would make a full recovery soon.
President Zardari was rushed to a private hospital in Karachi late on Monday night after his health began to decline. Sources within the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) stated that medical professionals conducted essential tests to assess his condition.
Heightened security measures were implemented around the hospital, with law enforcement agencies deployed to ensure the safety of both the president and medical staff. Strict security protocols were in place, preventing unauthorized access to the hospital premises.
The day before his hospitalization, President Zardari attended Eidul Fitr prayers at Zardari House in Nawabshah.
This is not the first time the president has encountered health issues in recent years. In 2024, he sustained a foot fracture while disembarking from a plane at Dubai Airport during a private visit. He was promptly treated at a hospital, where doctors applied a plaster and advised him to rest for four weeks. As a result, his official visit to China had to be postponed.
