News Desk
Islamabad: YouTube has launched a major global update enabling users to watch videos in their preferred language through advanced artificial intelligence-powered dubbing.
The new feature supports 27 languages and allows viewers to select their desired language in account settings. When a dubbed version is available, the platform automatically plays it, offering a more seamless viewing experience.

A key highlight of the update is the introduction of “Expressive Speech” technology, which aims to preserve the original creator’s tone, emotion and speaking style. Unlike traditional dubbing that often sounds flat or mechanical, the AI-driven system is designed to produce more natural and engaging voiceovers.
At present, expressive auto-dubbing is available for content originally created in English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. The company said additional languages will be added in future updates.
The rollout is being viewed as a significant step toward reducing language barriers on the platform. YouTube says the feature will help creators expand their reach to international audiences, while offering viewers a more authentic and enjoyable way to access foreign-language content.
