Young Mountaineer Aims To Summit All 14 Peaks

Islamabad: Shehroze Kashif, a 20-year-old mountaineer from Pakistan who set a new world record by climbing K2, the second-highest mountain in the world, has now departed for Nepal with the goal of climbing all 14 peaks above 8,000 metres.
Shehroze was said farewell by his parents and other friends and family members. He revealed his lofty ambition to become the world’s youngest climber to conquer every mountain above 8,000 metres. He has already ascended 10 peaks above 8,000 metres and is the youngest climber in the history of the sport to do so.
He left for Nepal as he is going to attempt Annapurna 8,091m and Dhaulagiri 8,167m. After successful summit, he will be left with only two peaks (Shishipangma and Choyou) to become the youngest climber to summit all 14 x 8000m.
The 14 peaks, also known as the eight-thousands, are a collection of mountains rising above 8,000 metres (26,247 feet).These mountains are regarded as the most difficult and dangerous in the world, with only a few climbers having successfully summited all of them.
Kashif’s father Kashif Salman who has always been a strong supporter of his, said, “I constantly believe Shehroze is a remarkable human and Allah has bestowed him with powers so he can do extraordinary things.”
His mother, who was there at the airport to see him leave, stated “He used to show me the mountains and would say, this is my home mom. ”She wished her son well and remarked that he would make Pakistan proud.
Shehroze has inspired young mountaineers all across the world with his tenacity, enthusiasm, and talent. He has the view that everyone, no matter how great or small, can fulfil their dreams through perseverance and hard effort.
About his upcoming challenge, Kashif stated, “I’m committed to achieving this objective and bringing honour to my nation. Young people should follow their passions and aspirations, no matter how challenging they may seem to be.”
In addition to drawing attention from throughout the world, Shehroze’s world-record ascent will promote Pakistan’s varied landscapes and natural beauties. His success will motivate a new group of mountaineers and adventurers to scale the highest peaks on the planet.
Shehroze is also conducting a ‘Go Fund Me’ fundraising effort for his journey.
