Young Artists Release Anthem to Mark GB’s Historic Day

Islamabad: A beautiful national anthem is set to be released on November 1 to commemorate Gilgit-Baltistan’s liberation from Dogra rule.

Performed by local artists Zeeshan Hamza and Hashmi, the anthem showcases the stunning landscapes of Gilgit-Baltistan while celebrating the bravery, culture, and traditions of its people.

Through its powerful melodies, the anthem serves as a poignant reminder of the region’s struggle against oppression, highlighting how the local population raised the banner of rebellion in their pursuit of unity with Pakistan.

This significant journey began on November 1, 1947, and culminated in the end of Dogra rule on August 14, 1948, when the Pakistani flag was first hoisted over Gilgit.

The lyrics express a deep love for the homeland: “Our ancestors’ sacrifices will never go in vain; we hold the spirit of martyrdom; this passion is our treasure.” The anthem embodies the profound connection of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan to their heritage.

This national song promotes a message of unity, love, and peace, reflecting the spirit of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
