X Services Partially Back Online in Pakistan

News Desk
Islamabad: After the swearing-in of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and the federal cabinet, X services, previously known as Twitter, were partially restored on the evening of March 11.
It is to mention here that X (Twitter) had been inaccessible in Pakistan since February 17.
Despite a court order from the Sindh High Court (SHC) on February 22 directing the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to immediately restore the service and refrain from further shutdowns, X remained offline.
However, with the formation of the new federal cabinet, X’s service was partially reinstated. Interestingly, several members of the newly formed National Assembly, elected in the general elections held on February 8, are now part of the federal cabinet.

On March 10, President Asif Ali Zardari took the oath of office before the federal cabinet. Prior to his inauguration, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had been sworn in on March 4, succeeding former President Arif Alvi.
Following these events, including the formation of the National Assembly and the swearing-in ceremonies of the Prime Minister, the President, and the federal cabinet, there was widespread speculation about the potential restoration of X’s service.
This speculation was confirmed on March 11 when X services were partially restored across the country.
