Rawalpindi: The construction of the Signal-Free Mall Road project is progressing swiftly, with efforts underway to ensure its timely completion.
Following the successful relocation of utility cables to underground conduits, work on piling and the pedestrian underpass has accelerated.
Speaking to APP on Monday, Superintending Engineer (SE) Punjab Highway Department, Tahir Rao, stated that 790 out of 2,093 piles have already been completed, demonstrating effective time management. He emphasized that multi-tier supervision and simultaneous execution of various tasks are ensuring steady progress.
The one-kilometer-long project aims to facilitate smooth traffic flow on Mall Road, significantly reducing congestion and improving mobility for commuters.
