Women Allegedly Assaulted by Landlord in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: A woman, who had come to rent a house, was allegedly assaulted by the landlord under the pretense of showing her the house. 

According to the details, the woman was looking for a rental house when the landlord allegedly assaulted her, police sources said on Sunday.

The incident of rape occurred in the Ganjmandi area of Rawalpindi.

According to the FIR, the suspect, Shafaqat Ali, took the woman to the upper floor to show her the house and then seized the opportunity to grab her.

The FIR states that the suspect pulled out scissors to scare the woman and even cut some of her hair.

Under the threat from the suspect, the woman did not resist, and he forcibly raped her. He also threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.

According to the FIR, the survivor, “Z,” is a mother of four children, and her husband works as a laborer. She was looking for a low-rent house when she became a victim of the sexual assault.

The Ganjmandi police station has registered a case against the landlord on the complaint of the survivor and further investigation was underway till the filing of this report.
