Woman Takes Her Own Life, That of Her Two Children: But Why?

Bahawalpur: A woman and her two children were killed after being struck by a train in Ahmadpur East tehsil of the Bahawalpur.

Rescue 1122 and police sources reported that they received a call about the presence of three bodies—those of a woman and two children—on the railway track. The victims were hit by a train.

The local police and rescuers from the Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, reached the scene and transported the bodies to a hospital.

Preliminary police investigations suggest that the woman, 30-year-old Humaira Bibi, committed suicide by standing in front of the moving train along with her two children, seven-year-old Asad and two-year-old Alina, due to a prolonged domestic dispute.

The family was from a village on the outskirts of Ahmadpur East city. The police are conducting further investigations into the case.
