Woman, Minor Girl Killed in Honour Killing in Mansehra

Mansehra: A woman and a minor girl were allegedly killed in the name of honour in the Phallra police jurisdiction of Mansehra district, police reported on Tuesday.

According to police, the woman had married by choice in 2021 through a court procedure. The double homicide has shocked the local community and raised serious concerns about violence against women in honour-related cases.

A case has been registered based on a complaint filed by the deceased woman’s mother-in-law.

District Police Officer (DPO) Shafiullah Gandapur said special police teams have been formed and a search operation launched to apprehend those responsible for the killings.
