Woman Arrested for Making Fake Call on 15 Helpline

Rawalpindi: The police on Tuesday arrested a woman for allegedly making a fake call on 15 police helpline in the jurisdiction of Wah Cantt police station.

According to the police sources, the suspected woman, identified as Sonia, called on police emergency helpline 15, claiming that her sister-in-law has been killed by her family members.

On receiving the information, the Wah Cantt police team reached the spot and found that no such incident had taken place.

The police have arrested the suspect and further investigation was underway.

The SP (Pothohar) commended the police team for immediate action and said that 15 is an emergency helpline that cannot be misused.

He made it clear that strict action would be taken against elements involved in malpractices and mischievous activities.
