Why Was the Pindi Test Pitch Prepared Differently This Year?
News Desk
Rawalpindi: The pitch for the upcoming Rawalpindi Test against Bangladesh is being prepared differently compared to previous years, according to inside sources.
The pitch will feature light grass, a departure from recent trends, as Pakistan plans to field four fast bowlers against Bangladesh.
The sources indicate that the fast bowling lineup will include Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mir Hamza, Naseem Shah, and Khurram Shahzad.
There is uncertainty regarding the inclusion of fast bowler Amir Jamal in the Rawalpindi Test. Sources suggest that he has not yet undergone a fitness test, though he has begun bowling and batting in the nets.
However, his chances of playing in the match appear slim.
The expected final XI includes captain Shan Masood, Mohammad Huraira, Abdullah Shafiq, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, and Salman Agha.
A decision is still pending on whether Sarfraz Ahmed or Mohammad Rizwan will take the wicket keeper role.
However, sources suggest that Rizwan is likely to be favored due to his strong record on fast-bowler-friendly pitches.
