Why Prince Andrew’s Time at Sandringham Is Drawing Attention

News Desk

London: Prince Andrew has temporarily moved into Wood Farm Cottage on the Sandringham estate while repair work is carried out on his permanent residence, according to British media reports.

The move follows renewed public scrutiny of the Duke of York after the release of a recent tranche of documents linked to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, which again referenced the prince. Prince Andrew has previously denied wrongdoing.

However, British tabloid The Sun reported that some staff working on the King’s Norfolk estate have expressed reluctance to work for the duke during his stay. According to the report, staff have been informed that they are not required to serve him if they feel uncomfortable doing so.

A source cited by the newspaper claimed there is a growing number of staff members who have declined to work with the duke since his arrival earlier this week.

“They’ve been told they don’t have to serve Andrew or work for him if they feel uncomfortable,” the source said, adding that there was “considerable unease” among staff.

The source also suggested there were concerns that the temporary arrangement could become long-term once the duke settles into Wood Farm Cottage, while refurbishment work continues at Marsh Farm, his reported permanent residence on the estate.

Buckingham Palace has not commented on the report.
