Islamabad: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) management and franchise representatives held a pivotal meeting on Saturday to finalize player categories for the upcoming PSL 10.

Key decisions were made regarding local players in the prestigious Platinum category, with each franchise confirming its top picks:

Finalized Platinum Players by Franchise

Lahore Qalandars: Shaheen Shah Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Haris Rauf

Peshawar Zalmi: Babar Azam and Saim Ayub

Quetta Gladiators: Mohammad Amir (only Platinum player)

Islamabad United: Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, and Imad Wasim

Karachi Kings: No player from the franchise secured a Platinum spot

Multan Sultans: Mohammad Rizwan and Usama Mir, while the decision on Iftikhar Ahmed or Abbas Afridi has been deferred to a review committee

For categories below Platinum, voting disagreements have led the matter to the selection panel, which will finalize the players’ categories.

The panel is set to communicate the finalized categories and names to franchises by Sunday.
