Multan: The white coat serves as a universal emblem of our commitment to the noble field of medicine, marking the beginning of our journey, said Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition Dean Dr Saeed Akhtar.

It instills in us a profound sense of responsibility, reminding us of the vital role we play in serving humanity with compassion and expertise, Professor Saeed added.

BZU Department of Human Nutrition, in collaboration with the Zakariyan Nutrition Society, hosted a white coat ceremony to highlight the significance of white coats and the responsibilities attached to their chosen profession.

Known nutritionists and faculty members illuminated various facets of the nutrition field, engaging with the students and addressing their inquiries about their career paths.

Student Affairs In-charge Dr Khurram Afzal urged students to strive for excellence in their roles as future nutritionists.

Zakaria Nutrition Society President Muhammad Ahmed encouraged new students to actively participate in such awareness programmes and seminars.
