What’s Inside Golden Box Given to Paris Olympics Medalists?
News Desk
Islamabad: Athletes who deliver outstanding performances at the Olympics, such as Arshad Nadeem, traditionally receive gold, silver, and bronze medals.
However, this year, alongside the medals, winners were also given a golden box.
Australian canoeist Jessica Fox revealed the contents of this golden box in a TikTok video, responding to numerous inquiries about the surprise item provided to athletes in Paris. Instead of the usual souvenirs or flowers, this time the box contained a beautiful painting.
Additionally, an official video shared on the Paris Olympics’ official X (formerly Twitter) account clarified that the 40 cm box included an official poster of the Paris Games as a special gift.
The poster includes a seal that matches the medal the Olympian won—gold, silver, or bronze. It reflects the Paris Olympics’ slogan, “Games Wide Open.”
Created by renowned artist Hugo Gattoni, the poster was designed over four months and 2,000 hours, incorporating various symbols to represent multiple elements of the Games.
