Islamabad: Acting Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan on Tuesday suspended the membership of three Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senators for the ongoing 346th session of the Upper House over “unruly” behavior and non-parliamentary language.
The suspended Senators include Awn Abbas, Humayun Mohmand, and Falak Naz Chitrali.
Announcing the decision, the acting chairman stated that the opposition Senators had used inappropriate language during the proceedings.
“As acting chairman, I have the authority to take action against those who disrupt the decorum of the House. If such behavior is repeated in the future, similar measures will be taken,” he said.
Following the decision, the chair adjourned the session until February 21 (Friday) at 10:30 am.
