What Led to PIA Hajj Flight’s Emergency Landing in Riyadh?
News Desk
Islamabad: In a surprising turn of events, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Hajj flight PK839, which had departed from Karachi for Jeddah at 10 pm, made an emergency landing at Riyadh Airport.
The flight was carrying 329 passengers.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the emergency landing was necessitated by a warning of high temperature in the cargo cabin of the aircraft during the flight.
As a precautionary measure, the flight was diverted to Riyadh Airport from its original destination of Jeddah.
Upon further inspection at Riyadh, it was determined that the technical fault warning was false. Subsequently, the PIA Hajj flight departed from Riyadh and safely reached Jeddah.
Passengers were relieved after the successful completion of their journey. The PIA spokesperson emphasized that the safety of passengers is the airline’s top priority, and the swift response to the warning ensured everyone’s well-being.
