Islamabad: Komal Aziz Khan, a talented Pakistani actress and budding entrepreneur, has a substantial social media presence with 1.6 million followers. She is known for her roles in popular dramas like Mohlat, Raaz e Ulfat, Bharosa Pyar Tera, Zard Zamano Ka Sawera, and Bisaat e Dil. In addition to her acting career, Komal successfully runs her clothing brand, Omal by Komal.
Recently, she appeared on Nida Yasir’s morning show, Good Morning Pakistan, where she opened up about her greatest fear. Komal shared, “People know I’m quite brave, and I don’t fear much—except for one thing: marriage. It’s the last fear I haven’t been able to overcome yet. I can handle protests, stand up to feudals and even the police, but marriage remains a challenge for me.”
She explained that her fear stems from witnessing flawed marriages around her. While they weren’t necessarily bad, they weren’t ideal either. For Komal, financial and emotional independence are her top priorities before considering marriage.
She emphasized that the allure of material things like clothes, shoes, bags, and jewelry fades after a few weeks, and what remains is the weight of responsibility.
Additionally, she noted that many women who come to her seeking employment often leave soon after getting married, as families sometimes don’t allow their women to work. Komal firmly believes that emotional independence is intrinsically linked to financial independence.
