What Are Benefits of Google’s New App for Android Users?
News Desk
Islamabad: Google has unveiled a new feature for Android users that significantly enhances the app management experience on the Play Store. With the latest update, users can now install or update up to three apps or games simultaneously.
Previously, the Play Store could handle only one app at a time, but this new functionality allows for greater efficiency. If more than three apps are being managed, the remaining apps will be queued for later.
This update is currently rolling out in select regions, including India, and is expected to streamline the process of setting up new devices or restoring from backups.
While Google has not announced a specific launch date or detailed device compatibility, the feature is already available on certain phones in the regions where it is being tested.
In comparison, Apple has long allowed users to install up to three iOS apps simultaneously from the App Store.
Additionally, Google is introducing an AI-powered anti-theft feature for Android devices. Known as the ‘theft detection lock,’ this feature aims to prevent unauthorized access to user data and is available for devices running Android 10 or newer.
The feature is currently being released to a limited number of beta testers in Brazil, with plans for broader availability through Google Play Services.
