Weed Hidden in Shoes Seized from UK Parcel

Rawalpindi: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a drug smuggling attempt from abroad and recovered 16 grams of weed hidden in shoes in a parcel from the UK at a courier office in Chaklala Cantt.

The parcel was booked in the name of an unknown resident in Lahore. ANF launched an investigation to trace those involved in the smuggling attempt.

248 Kg of Drugs Seized, 6 Arrested

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered over 248 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 336.8 million in six separate operations and arrested six suspects, including two Afghan nationals.

According to an ANF spokesman, 990 narcotic pills were recovered from a British citizen of Afghan origin at Karachi airport. Another 800 grams of ice were seized from a parcel bound for Qatar at a courier office in Lahore.

Separately, 3.6 kg of hashish was recovered from an Afghan national near Sohrab Goth Bus Terminal in Karachi, while 2.4 kg of hashish was seized from a vehicle near Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad.

In Lahore, 700 grams of ice were recovered from two suspects near Niazi Adda. Meanwhile, 240 kg of heroin hidden for smuggling was seized in Killi Daman, Chaman.

Cases have been registered under the Narcotics Control Act, and investigations are ongoing.
