Islamabad: A joyous wedding celebration in Khairpur took a devastating turn on Sunday afternoon when a road accident critically injured 14 participants, including women and children.

Local police reported that the incident occurred when a Suzuki van, transporting wedding revellers, collided with a motorcycle, resulting in a scene of chaos and destruction.

According to a private news channel, the accident left 14 individuals fighting for their lives.

Emergency services and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance. The injured were subsequently transported to Gums Hospital, where a team of doctors is currently working to save them.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the accident, with initial reports suggesting that reckless driving may have been a contributing factor.
