WASA MD Appeals to Keep Nullah Leh, Bridges Clean

Islamabad: WASA Managing Director Muhammad Saleem Ashraf has urged the public to refrain from dumping trash into Nullah Leh, which could lead to severe flooding during the monsoon season.
He announced increased surveillance and a comprehensive sanitation plan, including a rainwater harvesting project in partnership with UN Habitat.
This project aims to address water shortages and reduce flooding by constructing large water tanks in strategic locations across the city.
WASA is also working on improving waste management practices and upgrading the city’s sanitation infrastructure.
Ashraf emphasized the importance of community participation in maintaining cleanliness and preparing for potential monsoon challenges.
