WASA CEO Vows Stern Measures Against Defaulters

Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi’s Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Muhammad Tanveer has affirmed a no-tolerance stance against defaulters, emphasising strict adherence to the law.

He directed officers to enforce revenue retrieval, disconnect unauthorised connections, and file FIRs against defaulters. This operation, he assured, will be unbiased and continuous. The MD highlighted plans to sever sewer and water connections of defaulters.

Additionally, Tanveer mentioned issuing instructions to review the daily performance of all revenue inspectors, with reports crafted based on set targets. Any negligence in revenue collection will be met with decisive disciplinary action against the responsible officials, Tanveer confirmed.
