Wah Cantt murder case: Father, two uncles arrested

Wah Cantt:  Police have arrested the father and two paternal uncles of a married woman in connection with her murder in Wah Cantt, officials confirmed on Thursday, marking a major breakthrough in the high-profile case.

According to police sources, the arrests were made following the interrogation of a previously detained prime suspect, whose disclosures led investigators to other close family members allegedly involved in the crime.

Authorities said the victim had recently returned from Qatar before the incident.

Investigators believe the murder was carried out under a premeditated plan, allegedly orchestrated by the woman’s husband in collusion with her two uncles, while her father is accused of facilitating the crime.

Police further revealed that the victim was reportedly brought back to Pakistan as part of the alleged conspiracy.

City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani took immediate notice of the case and directed officers to ensure swift and decisive action against all those involved.

SP (Potohar) Talha Wali said raids were ongoing to arrest the remaining suspects, adding that those already apprehended would be challaned before the court with solid evidence.

Police said further arrests were expected as the investigation continued.
