Viral Video Leads to Arrest of Torture Suspect in Pasrur

Sialkot: Police in Pasrur arrested a suspect after a video showing the torture of a citizen went viral on social media, officials said on Saturday.
According to a police statement, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Sadr Pasrur police station. The victim, Muhammad Awais, was on his way when the main suspect, Hammad, allegedly intercepted him.
The accused reportedly took Awais to their dera at gunpoint where he was brutally tortured. The suspects later uploaded the video of the incident on social media, which drew widespread public attention.
Following the circulation of the video, District Police Officer Dost Muhammad took immediate notice and directed police to take action.
Police subsequently arrested the main suspect, Hammad, and registered a case against him. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
Two Motorcycle Theft Suspects Arrested in Sargodha
Police arrested two members of a motorcycle theft gang during a crackdown against bike thieves involved in multiple theft cases, officials said on Saturday.
According to a police spokesperson, raiding teams conducted operations in different localities and arrested two suspects identified as Jamshed and Hassan Ali.

Police also recovered stolen valuables worth Rs732,000 from their possession.
District Police Officer Muhammad Suhaib Ashraf appreciated the police team for their performance and commended their action against motorcycle thieves.
He said the crackdown against criminal elements would continue to ensure the safety of citizens and protection of their property.
Speeding Tanker Kills Child, Injures Three Siblings in Karachi
A child was killed and three siblings were injured after a speeding tanker ran them over on Manghopir Ijtema Gah Road on Saturday.
According to rescue officials, four children were on their way to school when the tanker struck them near Manghopir Ijtema Gah.
One child died on the spot, while three siblings — Fatima, Abdullah and Sharjeel — sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured children to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Police said the tanker driver fled the scene after the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation and are making efforts to trace the driver and the vehicle involved.
