The program, hosted by actress and TV personality Javeria Saud, has already been drawing attention on social media due to unconventional calls and unusual questions from viewers.

While the show has gained popularity, it has also faced criticism from audiences over its content.

During a recent live broadcast, a female caller, who introduced herself as a 35-year-old widow, expressed her desire to remarry and directly proposed marriage to Maulana Azad Jameel on-air. The unexpected proposal left the studio momentarily silent.

Responding to the situation, host Javeria Saud clarified that the scholar is already married, after which the discussion was steered back to the program.

The incident has once again ignited debate حول the content and format of Ramadan transmissions, with audiences questioning the balance between entertainment and religious programming.

Javeria Saud’s Advice to Mothers Sparks Debate

Renowned Pakistani television actress, producer, writer, singer, and host Javeria Saud has advised mothers to play a more active role in supporting their daughters’ marriage prospects.
In a recent interview with Geo Digital, Javeria Saud—who has penned the drama serial “Baju”—spoke about the storyline of the project and shared her views on societal attitudes toward marriage.
Discussing the issue, she emphasized that mothers of daughters should be sociable and build connections, as social interaction can open doors to potential relationships. She noted that many mothers prefer to remain within their limited circles, calling this mindset counterproductive.
The actress further stated that when girls reach a marriageable age and face difficulties in finding suitable matches, mothers also bear some responsibility. She stressed that parents, particularly mothers, should actively support their daughters by expanding social networks and engaging with the community.

Javeria Saud highlighted that increased social interaction and presence in gatherings can significantly improve opportunities for girls seeking marriage.
During the interview, she also discussed the narrative of her drama “Baju”, which revolves around the lives and struggles of middle-class girls, as well as sharing insights from her own childhood.
The drama is produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, and directed by Mazhar Moin.
