Veteran Punjabi Actor Jaswinder Bhalla Passes Away at 65

New Delhi: Renowned Punjabi actor and comedian Jaswinder Bhalla, celebrated for his impeccable comic timing and iconic roles in Punjabi cinema, passed away at a private hospital in Mohali on Friday morning after a brief illness.

He was 65.

According to family sources, Bhalla had been admitted to the hospital a few days earlier after his health deteriorated. News agency PTI confirmed his death through a family friend.

A household name in Punjabi entertainment, Bhalla’s career spanned decades, leaving audiences in splits with his unforgettable performances in blockbuster films such as Carry on Jatta, Mahaul Theek Hai, Jatt Airways, and Jatt & Juliet 2.

Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Punjabi comedy, Bhalla’s unique style and wit made him a beloved figure across generations.

His passing marks the end of an era in Punjabi cinema, with fans and colleagues remembering him not only as an actor but also as a cultural icon who helped shape modern Punjabi comedy.
