Islamabad:  Adnan Afaq, a veteran Pakistani guitarist, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy as a virtuoso musician and dedicated mentor.

Adnan Afaq succumbed to stage 4 stomach cancer after a valiant battle against the illness. The confirmation of his passing came from Armaan Raheem of the Arts Council Pakistan, revealing that the musician had been hospitalized due to complications related to his health condition.

Renowned for his expertise in playing the guitar, he shared his knowledge with numerous aspiring musicians in Pakistan.

Over the years, Adnan Afaq lent his musical talents to various prominent Pakistani pop singers and actively participated in organizing live concerts.

Until recently, he held the position of the head of the music department at the Arts Council of Pakistan, contributing significantly to the development of the musical landscape in the country. Adnan Afaq‘s impact extended beyond his own performances, as he played a pivotal role in discovering and nurturing young, passionate musicians.
