Use One WhatsApp Account on Four Devices
News Desk
Islamabad: WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to access their accounts on multiple devices simultaneously, a capability that was previously limited.
This update makes messaging more convenient by enabling users to link phones as companion devices. You can now switch between devices without having to sign out, allowing you to seamlessly continue your chats from where you left off.
For small business owners, this means that additional employees can respond to customers directly from their phones using the same WhatsApp Business account.
To use WhatsApp’s multi-device support, you need to log into your primary phone every 14 days to keep connectivity across all devices.
Here’s how to activate WhatsApp on multiple smartphones using companion mode:
- Install WhatsApp on your secondary smartphone.
- Agree to the privacy policies during setup.
- Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Instead of entering your phone number, skip this step and select the option to link this phone as a companion device from the drop-down menu.
A QR code will be displayed on your secondary phone; scan this code with your primary phone to link the devices.
This new feature enhances flexibility and convenience for both personal and business use.
