US issues agrément for Masood’s appointment as Pakistan envoy
ISLAMABAD
United States has issued agrément for Pakistan’s diplomat Masood Khan, who is now set to leave for Washington as Pakistan’s envoy.
Previously, US State Department has been taking unusually long to process the agrément of Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to the United States, Masood Khan. The delay triggered an impression of a pause in the process.
Masood, who has served as President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) till August 2021, was nominated as ambassador to the US in November.
Diplomatic sources said Saturday that Masood Khan will soon take charge of Pakistan’s envoy to US.
