Unusual Railway Incident Injures 27 Near Khanewal Station

Islamabad: At least 27 passengers were injured in an unusual accident near Khanewal Railway Station when a signal pole ladder struck multiple trains, railway officials confirmed.

The incident involved the Awam Express (both up and down routes) and the Musa Pak Express. According to officials, several passengers had their hands outside the train windows at the time, resulting in injuries when the ladder hit.

Initial findings suggest that unknown individuals deliberately placed or pushed the ladder onto the tracks, leading to the mishap. The injured include women, elderly passengers, and young people. Fortunately, all are reported to be out of danger.

Railway authorities have launched a formal investigation to identify those responsible and to implement safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
