UNSC Must End Double Standards: Saudi Arabia
News Desk
Islamabad: Saudi Arabia has expressed regret for vetoing the Gaza ceasefire resolution and emphasized the need for an end to double standards within the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
In a statement from Riyadh, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for reforms within the Council. This comes after the United States once again vetoed the ceasefire resolution in Gaza.
The Algerian resolution, aimed at achieving an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza, garnered support from thirteen out of the fifteen permanent Security Council members, with Britain abstaining. However, the US vetoed the resolution for the third time.
